Protecting the Public Through Professional Regulation
The South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) was established in terms of the Natural Scientific Professions Act (Act 27 of 2003) to provide for the registration of professional, candidate, and certified natural scientists.
Our mandate is to ensure that natural science is practiced in the interest of the public, and that registered professionals maintain high standards of competence and ethical conduct.
